This e-book explores the concept of information quality as a subject of study, analysing its evolution, theoretical approaches, models, and assessment methodologies. It does not aim to provide an exhaustive literature review, but rather a framework that guides the work of the BIP, clarifying the choices, criteria, and perspectives that shape how the information ecosystem will be analysed and how the results are presented.
Learn MoreJournalistic quality is a central concept in journalism and communication studies, gaining renewed prominence in light of transformations in the media ecosystem driven by economic and technological changes. Current debates focus on issues such as the sustainability of business models, combating misinformation, the relationship with professional and informal sources, and the profound changes in newsroom dynamics and routines.
Learn MoreThe Quality in Journalism conference took place on 22 June 2022, in the ICS Sala de Atos. The event highlighted the importance of journalism studies at CECS and fostered a debate on renewing scientific thinking around the quality of journalistic production in a global context.
The programme included an opening lecture by researcher Dolors Palau (University of Valencia), a panel discussion with journalists, and the presentation of seven selected papers. The initiative was organised by the Media and Journalism research line and the BIP – Barometer for Information Quality at CECS.
