In this first edition, we invite you to participate in the BIP Survey, which seeks to measure perceptions about the quality of journalistic information on the fires that took place this Summer. We share the inaugural episode of the Estados do Tempo podcast, in partnership with the Communitas think tank, which reflects on the ways in which time and fear are intertwined with the production and reception of information and what this tells us about the quality of contemporary journalism. To better understand how BIP works, we suggest consulting the ebook “Avaliar a Qualidade da Informação: Referencial Teórico-Metodológico”. We also recommend reading a news article on the concept of information avoidance and suggest an event to mark on your calendar: BIP’s presence at the XIV Sopcom Congress.
