Inês Mendes holds a PhD in Communication Sciences (2024) from the University of Minho, with a focus on slow journalism, journalism quality, and the concept of time. She is interested in the temporal aspects of journalistic production routines. From 2017 to 2020, she worked at a bimonthly magazine dedicated to architecture, design, and culture, gaining experience with “slower-paced” publications that shaped her doctoral research. She is currently a research fellow at the BIP – Barometer for Information Quality and an integrated researcher at CECS.
