Sara Balonas is an assistant professor at the University of Minho and an integrated researcher at Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS). She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences (Social Advertising) and teaches strategic communication, branding, advertising, and creativity. Her research interests include advertising and behavioural change, social change, creativity, strategic communication, political communication, health communication, and social marketing. She is the author of articles, books, and other scientific publications in these fields. She coordinates Createlab – Creative Agency of Innovation and Experimentation (CECS). She coordinated the research group Communication, Organisations and Social Dynamics (CECS) and the Advertising Working Group of SOPCOM (Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences). She is currently a member of the Presidency team at the Institute of Social Sciences.
